An innovative session that will see people exchange dialogues mentioning the season autumn is gearing up to present the first chapter of its show, Kathader Bioscope. The idea that has interested the organisers speaks of a few who have passed away before the autumn of their lives and those that could fight for their lives. The personification will be among Binoy Majumder, Ismat Chughtai, Florentino and a transgender person while Sumanta, Prosenjit, Debraj, Souptik, Joy, Soumen, Sayan, Gulshanara, Raja, Dipankar, Abhinav will take part in the drama that will be staged gradually covering all the six seasons. The first chapter, Hemanta, will focus on existence as a theme. The conversations hint at politics, racism, love, nation, brutality, poetry,

romance

and joy. “In the inception stage, we were not looking at staging a full-fledged drama. We wanted to take it forward focussing on nature, especially the six seasons. How the seasonal changes bring about an alteration in our reality is what we were trying to stage. Since violence is the moot point of all creative work we see around, we wanted to shift gears and focus on

love

and its various shades instead,” said Gulshanara Khatun, who apart from acting in it has also directed the play.

There are back-to-back shows scheduled for December 7 at an art gallery in the city. And the team is super excited to bring the fruits of their labour for the audience to enjoy. “When we decided on the work, all of us came forward to make it a success. So, direction and acting side by side is not just my credit. Designing, composition, music, choreography and all others aspects are taken

care

of by each one of us. Though I directed it, acting has always been my forte. The reason why we thought of this production is because as an art practitioner, I think I have a responsibility towards the society,” said Gulshanara.
