Purba Paschim’s

Othhoi Jol

has taken a break from staging the production. Reason? The lead actor, Debshankar Halder, is travelling abroad with several

theatre

productions. “We will be staging Othhoi Jol next on August 19, soon after Debshankar is back,” said Soumitra Mitra, the director of Purba Paschim. Debshankar is currently directing a play that will be staged at an Afro-Asian theatre festival in

New Jersey

this year. Moreover, he will also perform three shows of another production, Kallu Mama. Directed by Bratya Basu, Othhoi Jol has already garnered appreciation from several quarters.
