Nina works on her fourth Malayalam film

Talking about her character and the film, Nina said, “Maya is a beautiful young woman who dreams of having a baby with her boyfriend Siddharth. She believes it can add happiness to their lives. Siddharth, meanwhile, is concerned about the happiness of all. As a result, he manages to invent a machine which can create the illusion of joy forever. He calls it the Dream Machine. Once a user connects to the machine, it creates joyful dreams for her. He calls it the happiness drug of the future, one which has no side effects. But now, someone is out to steal his invention. Siddharth and Maya go in hiding with the machine. The chase gets murkier. And the story brings in more characters.”
Maya was shot in six days in Thiruvananthapuram between May 25 and 30. Between May 2 and 24, the team conducted workshops. Earlier, Nina has started dubbing in Malayali from her second venture, Sunetra. Directed by the Babusenan duo, her character is that of a Bengali woman.
In her third venture, Irutt (Darkness), too, Nina dubbed in Malayali. “While many have seen the version of my dubbing, I don’t think it will be there in the final cut. Another Malayali artiste has dubbed it too. So, I think that might be used,” she said.

Later, she moved to Shouvanik and acted in many of their productions. “I have taken a small break from the stage, as the Malayalam projects are keeping me busy,” she said, adding, “I have always wanted to act in as many languages as possible.
