Natyaanan’s Ganesh Gatha comes to town
After the immense success of the star-studded A-Pabitra, Chandan Sen’s Natyaanan has come up with its next, Ganesh Gatha. The play, which was composed for Paschimbanga Natya Academy’s annual festival, will be staged in Kolkata for the first time on Thursday.
“All over the world, several relationships are developed based on the people we consider lucky or unlucky.

This play deals with this perception of luck. I hope people will like it too,” Chandan Sen, the director, said.
Rwitobroto Mukherjee, one of the key actors in the group, told us, “We will be staging Harimadhav Mukhopadhyay’s Ganesh Gatha. It is a social satire in the guise of a comedy. Earlier, we staged Juganayak in the same festival. This time, we are working on this play only for the festival. We will be performing in Kolkata for the first time and hope people will like it.”
Directed by Chandan, the play will feature Santilal Mukherjee, Rwitobroto and Chandan. The play premiered in Maldah in February.
