Music video to promote play?

Actor Samrat Mukherji is all set to stage this year’s production with the new team of SMPAI Natyagoshthi. Penned by the actor, the play, Chingari, is directed by Arna Mukhopadhyay. “It is a political play. The story delves into the current state of student politics in West Bengal. There are around 22 characters, all youngsters,” Samrat said. In a unique attempt, Samrat and his team have created a music video to promote the play.“Penned by Sanjeev Tiwari and composed by Pratik Karmakar, it is sung by Rik Basu. I don’t think creating a music video to promote a play is a common scene in Kolkata,” Samrat added.
