Kaushik Sen is back from the UK after shooting a hologram project in which he will be seen delivering the historic speech of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who is popular as the founder of Bangladesh. The piece, in which Kaushik is replicating the historic March 7 Speech of Bangabandhu, will be showcased on March 20 at Dhaka Stadium to commemorate Bangabandhu’s centenary birth year.
Elaborating on the project, Kaushik said, “While technically the holographic projects are very intricate, it doesn’t give any creative satisfaction. It is time consuming and tiring, and most of the time one has to replicate almost like a photocopy machine. But the best bit about the project is getting to know the director, Adam Donen. He has been working on several projects globally. Based on Alice in Wonderland, he is currently working on a feature film. He enlightened us about the state of other European theatre. Reshmi (Sen, wife), Riddhi (Sen, son) and I have so far seen a lot of American and British productions. We learnt a lot about other experimental works that are happening around Europe. He took us to Globe Theatre to watch Richard III, in which he is played by a woman.”
Meanwhile, Kaushik has resumed his work with Kaushik Gangulyfor his next, Ardhangini. “I started working before I left for the UK and we have resumed the worknow,” the actor said.
In the film, which also features Ambarish Bhattacharya and Purab Seal Acharya, ChurniGanguly and
Jaya Ahsan play the ex and current wives of a man, who are forced to come face to face after a crisis.
