Ichheymoto's Ghum Nei in top 10 national plays

The members of theatre group Ichheymoto are on cloud nine. Their production, Ghum Nei, has been selected as one of the top 10 plays in India. The list has been drawn by one of the finest theatre excellence awards in the country. Based on Utpal Dutt’s text, the play is directed by Saurav Palodhi. While Koushik Kar plays the lead, the music is composed by Debdeep Mukherjee.“It is a great honour for us. It is a competitive recognition and we are happy to be there,” said Saurav.

“It gives us utmost pride to announce that Ichheymoto's latest production, Utpal Dutta's GHOOM NEI, directed by Saurav Palodhi is now a part of the top 10 Plays at the Mahindra Excellence In Theatre Awards, 2020.
“We would be performing at Shri Ram Centre, Mandi house, Delhi on 15th of March, 2020.
“Only group selected from West Bengal. It is a privilege for us to perform with the 9 different groups from different parts of the country where we represent Bengal. Thank you seniors, colleagues & friends for being with us. (sic)”
