With her upcoming film Haami all set to hit theatres next week, actor
Gargee RoyChowdhury has no time to relax. The actress is also gearing up for a big comeback on stage. According to sources in the theatre circuit, the actress is set to stage a solo play, Rangini, based on playwright Ujjwal Chattopadhyay’s script. “It is a story about a young village girl who moves out of her house to chase her dreams,” the source said.
The actress is said to sing in the play. “From tappa to retro Bollywood — she will be rendering many numbers. She is also performing a few dance moves,” the source added. While
Debojyoti Mishra is composing the music for the play, Sudarshan Chakravorty has done the choreography, and Dev & Nil has designed the costumes. The 70-minute play will be staged by the end of May at a south Kolkata auditorium.
