Jaw dropping aerial performances by French dancer Olivia Cubero marked an Indo-French dance festival, which took place in ICCR auditorium recently.
“Olivia, guided by choreographer Fabrice Guillot, performed the vertical dance and using the walls of the auditorium as both performance space and to bounce the body off it using bungee jumping ropes and create interesting movements.

I especially liked the use of the projector behind her, which accentuated her shadow,” said dancer Sudarshan Chakravorty.
City-based dance troupe Rhythmosaic joined in and performed On The Run, a piece based on the current social scenario. “We opened the show by a dance dialogue, directed by Mitul Sengupta. These shows will certainly give boost to the young dancers and choreographers in Kolkata,” said Rhythmosaic’s artistic director Ronnie Shambik Ghosh. The audience certainly will cherish the evening for a lifetime.
