Debesh to stage two of Luigi Pirandello’s classics

Debesh Chattopadhyay is back again with a new assignment — this time with his own group, Sansriti. The director is going to stage two of Luigi Pirandello’s classics, Six Characters in Search of an Author and Henry IV. “We have just started the basic workshops and for me these are the most important parts of rehearsals. Before working on any text, we try to read about the author, the philosophy of the place and the relevance of the text in today’s world.I think it is absolutely necessary for a theatre person to get these details before getting into the performance part of it,” the director said.
