City to get an art collective

Interdisciplinary artist Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee is all set to hold an art collective in the city. “While there are many institutions, there is very little space to exchange ideas,” said Sujoy. “This is not going to be a course but a collective to imbibe ideas of original literary texts, developing new forms of artistic presentations, integration of marketing communications in arts, teaching how to get savvy with arts digitally and also creating communication channels for artistes.In fact, I am in the process of developing the idea of a travelling theatre with an artiste from the collective,” he added. The project, SPCkraft, will be launched in May. There will be a presentation of this collective on April 25 through a dialogue of arts in poetry between poet Subodh Sarkar and Sujoy at Bangla Academy.
