Ceramic artworks in focus

Fifteen contemporary artists and a fascinating show. Earthen Virtuosity — an exhibition of ceramic sculptures — is on at an art foundation in Rajarhat. Artworks of Aditi Saraogi, Aritra Roy Chowdhury, Asim Paul, Asish Chowdhury, Debajit Chakraborty, Debasish Das, Falguni Bhatt Sanghavi, Gargee Ghosh, Mausumi Roy, Pallab Das, Partha Dasgupta, Sarban Chowdhury, Shitanshu G Maurya, Surajit Shee and Tamal Bhattacharya are on display.
“In this show I want to represent those artists who have used this medium and executed their work in sculptural form. This exhibition showcases the combination of promising and renowned ceramists who took this form to another dimension”, states curator Soma Bhowmik.
Talking about the show, eminent artist Shuvaprasanna said, “Young people have done something special. I really like it. I think people should know more about suck artworks.”
