Biplab Bandyopadhyay to direct Minerva’s new production

Thespian Biplab Bandyopadhyay will be directing the annual production of Minerva Repertory this year. This year’s batch will be staging Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac. “Bratya (Basu, thespian and Biplab’s friend) suggested me the text and I really liked it. We approached Ashokda (Mukhopadhyay) for a Bengali adaptation,” Biplab told us. While the pre-production work has already started, the rehearsals will start from end of September.
