Anjan Dutt, who tasted immense success as Vincent Van Gogh in Swapnasandhani’s runaway hit, Taray Taray, is all set to stage his own production —

Salesmaner Shongshar

— this evening. The play is based on

Arthur Miller

’s

Death Of A Salesman

for which the actor-director-musician has penned the script. While Anjan himself plays the iconic character, Willy Loman, Sudipa Basu plays his wife, Linda. Suprabhat Das, Arindam Chakraborty and Barna Banerjee are also part of the play. Salesmaner Shongshar was supposed to premiere early this month, but Anjan pushed back the date owing to the ill health of one of his cast members. From the looks of it, it will be a soldout show this evening. Anjan took to social media yesterday to request people to stop calling him for the show and even gave a time limit to book for the tickets. Work on the play had begun three months back and Anjan has made necessary changes to the original text to make it more contemporary. Salesmaner Shongshar is not the only project which is keeping Anjan busy at the moment. His film,

Finally Bhalobasha

, where he is also involved as an actor, will release in February. The album will soon release and there’s a lot of curiosity around both these ventures at the moment.
