At a time when people all over the world are losing touch with their roots, a group of youngsters have got together and try to find solace in music. Shabnam Surita Dana, a researcher by profession and blogger/singer by passion, Sudipto Chakraborty, a member of, Dohar, Souptik Mazumdar, member Paridhi, Purab Seal Acharya (Mohul), singer, composer and an actor too, Sunny Sharma, bassist, Paridhi, Sayantan Sinha, vocalist, and Achin Sarkar, drummer of Paridgi, have geared up to present an evening of Bangla songs on
May 14.
“We have named the evening, Projonmer Swopno/Swopner Gaan. Our selection of songs will represent hope, courage, aspirations and pledges that the generation clings on to,” said Shabnam. Shrabana Sil, the young elocutionist, also joins them as their perfect interlocutor. Besides the concert, Shabnam will also launch her debut Rabindrasangeet album, Tumi Mor Anondo. “Sudipto, Souptik, Purab and Sunny helped me throughout,” said Shabnam.
