Western classical music show presented by a string orchestra

A Bene Placilto 2018, hosted by Kolkata Youth Ensemble (KYE), was a one-of-its-kind musical show. Sparked by an idea to restore classical music to its past glory, Kolkata Youth Ensemble was found in 2015. What started as a formation of 20-odd artistes is now a team of 100 talented musicians. With 35 stage performances to its credit, Kolkata Youth Ensemble continues to win hearts of music enthusiasts near and far.

Veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee who supports KYE was present at their event that was held recently at a city auditorium. KYE is working towards making western classical music both accessible and rewarding for future generations. Combining string

with a range of other musical instruments, they re-create timeless symphonies that leave an everlasting effect. From Bach to Tagore, Mozart to Salil Choudhury, classical to contemporary and fusion to popular, they have all it takes to strike a chord with any music lover.
