Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee

, singer

Lopamudra Mitra

and musician Joy Sarkar have joined hands for an audio project ‘Tirishe May’ to pay their tribute to Rtuparno Ghosh on the master filmmaker’s seventh death anniversary.

While Sujoy has beautifully recited Tirishe May, penned by poet

Srijato

, Lopamudra has lent her voice for strains of Bondhu Roho Roho Saathe, a Rabindrasangeet, which celebrates a lonesome rainy morning. Meanwhile Joy has designed the music while Uttaran Dey is the visual editor.

The audio released today. Check it out here:
“Ritu da was sort of a loner and it evidently reflected in his writings and cinematic works. Our project explores solitude in a new light”, said Sujoy, while speaking about the concept of ‘Tirishe May’.

“Our association with Sujoy is like a symbiotic one and we really liked the idea of his tribute to Ritu. This is not a celebration of his life or death but the innermost solitude that remained with him”, explained Lopamudra.
