Timir's Puja was all about binge watching

Earlier, musician Timir Biswas laid down his Puja plans on Facebook. And as per his plans, the musician spent most of the time in a movie hall. On Panchami, he watched Srijit Mukherjee’s Gumnaaani. On Shasthi and Saptami he watched Joker and War respectively. On Ashtami, he watched Password and on Nabami, it was Mitin Mashi.
“We always crib and complain about the sad state of Bangla cinema.What is the point if we ourselves don’t watch Bangla films? So many new films have released and I watched each of them. Last year, too, I watched all the films with my father,” said Timir.
On Dashami, however, the musician performed with his band, Fakira. “We performed in Bhamuria, Asansol. There was a time when we used to perform regularly on the Puja days. But we’ve stopped doing that. This is the time we spend with our families,” saidTimir, who is still basking in the success of his two songs — Amar Bhul Hoye Geche Priyo and Amar Etuk Shudhu Chawa — in Pradipta bhattacharyya’s Rajlokhi O Srikanto.
While talking about the songs, Timir said it was an honour for him for to work with Anirban Das. “He is an outstanding musician. It is any singer’s dream to be able to work with a person like him. He is Pradipta’s (Bhattacharyya, director of the film) friend. It was lovely working with him,” Timir signed off.
