Talking about his new student, Tejendra said, “I know him since his childhood. His mama,

Manas Chakraborty

, and mother, Shreela Banerjee, have always been very dear to me. He comes from a family that is engrossed in music. I got his sarod made from the maker I know personally. Srijato came to me and said, ‘Amar mone hochhe ami sarod shikhte chai’. I agreed in no time. He also made it clear that it is just for himself. He said, ‘Ami to kono concert e bajabo na. I just want to learn it for myself’. Since then, he has been learning from me.”

While talking to us, Srijato said, “I always thought that learning a

musical instrument

brings positivity. I have always loved the sarod. I love the sound it produces. On my birthday this year, I officially started learning.”
