Percussionist Tanmoy Bose has returned with a film project after a gap of almost three years with the upcoming
Soumitra Chatterjee and Aparna Sen-starrer, Bohomaan. Besides them,
Bratya Basu, Arpita, Gautam Halder and Sohag Sen have also acted in the film.
Tanmoy said that he has done multiple experiments with the film because the script deserves it. “In the beginning of the film, I have used a jazz song and throughout the film, that particular score has been used.” Besides, there are many moments in the film, where Tanmoy has not used any background music at all.
Bohomaan is the story of two lovers crossing each other’s paths after ages. The story sees Madhuri (
Aparna Sen) meeting
Salim Khan (Soumitra Chatterjee) after a long time. They are both still dealing with the agony of that separation. But, their reunion brings colour and love back into their lives.
“There are four songs in the film, including the jazz one. Singers like Sraboni and Anwesha have sung those songs,” said Tanmoy, adding that none of the songs in the film are lip-synced and are used only in the background.
When asked about the reason for taking a break from film projects, Tanmoy said that in most films, the makers do not give equal importance to the background score. “I like to create situations with my music. So, if I don’t get that opportunity, I will not work in the project,” he added.
