Stand By Me gets a new touch

’s iconic number, Stand By Me, gets a modern touch during the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic. Four musicians, Prabuddha Banerjee,Upal Sengupta
, Dibyendu Mukherjee andBodhisattwa Banerjee
, got together and presented a melodious #LockdownCover of the song. All four of them recorded the audio and the video from home and laterShomi
Chatterjee did the audio mixing and mastering and Upal edited the video.While posting it on social media, Prabuddha wrote, “These are difficult times when 4 of us decided to make this cover as we thought that it is an appropriate song now (sic).”
Elaborating the project, Upal said, “These are indeed difficult times when we are facing challenges in everything we do. But these are also times to stand by each other and not be mere bystanders.”
