Somlata sings for short film
Short films are the flavour of the season and needless to say, Bengal is churning those by the dozens. Not only are filmmakers getting to experiment with the content, young actors are finding it earlier to showcase their talent. On Wednesday, popular Kolkata singer Somlata Acharyya Chowdhury recorded a song, Jodi Kokhono Dekha for a short film, Sairi, directed by Awrko Roy.

Music for the short is composed by Amit Mitra, while the lyrics have been penned by Ritam Sen of Tomake Bujhina Priyo fame. The short is about a young boy with a disorder who gets lost in the city and how his mother finds him. The cast includes Anindya Pulok Banerjee, Pubali Bhattacharya, Swarnabha Sanyal, Atmadeep Ghosh, Sreya Banerjee and Debjani Chatterjee.
