There’s a common saying that wherever you go you can't take Bengal out from a Bengali and this Durga Puja, it will be a piece of traditional Bengali folk music traveling to Bengaluru for a musical extravaganza.
Winner of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, singer Arkadeep Mishra will tap into the Baul tunes or folklore of Bengal on the stage of Bangalore cultural hubs during Durga Puja. He will groove into the popular folk songs like Dil Ki Doya, Bahero, Ma Eseche Ghore, Bolo Bolo Dugga Maiki and many more soulful Bengali songs. This is the first time a folk-based cultural program will be organized at less popular Durga Puja pandals in Bangalore.
Not only Arka but singer Manasi Ghosh from Super singer fame will also perform her favourite songs including Bhromor koiyo giya, Ami opar hoye boshe achi, Oporadhi while popular singer Sujoy Bhowmik will sing O Mahiye Borite, Eka Eka Firey Dekha and many such popular Bengali songs for the Bengali community of Bengaluru.
Apart from these singers performing live, a group of women dhakis playing dhak and women priest performing Puja rituals will be the main attraction this festive season.
