Singer Silajit Majumder tests COVID positive, currently in home isolation

once again. This time popular singer-actor Silajit Majumder has tested positive for COVID-19 even after taking both doses of covid vaccine. The singer is right now in his hometown in Birbhum and he suddenly lost smell and was down with a mild fever for a few days.

Without taking any risk

Silajit

decided to go for the COVID test for precautionary measures and the report came positive. He is now in isolation at home and is puzzled about how can he be COVID positive when he has already taken the second dose.

“I don’t know how it can infect me. I have completed my vaccination already. Also, the coronagraph is going down now. Everyone used to joke that corona will never touch me. Now they are also confused. No matter how hard we say be positive those who face the situation can understand it. But no need to worry. I am fine,” Silajit has shared.

Not only Silajit but recently musician Bickram Ghosh also got infected and he’s also in home isolation and recovering well.

Meanwhile, the

West Bengal

government has extended the existing norms necessitated to contain the spread of coronavirus in the state till December 15. The announcement came a day after West Bengal on Monday reported 511 new infections, which took the tally to 16,15,378, according to official data.
