Singer-actor
Malobika Banerjee
whose latest song ‘
Desh ki Mitti
’ became an instant hit earlier this year is in shock. Her
Instagram account has been hacked and it hasn’t been recovered yet.
“I was shocked to see my verified Instagram page getting hacked. I had so many followers and used to update my page actively sharing with my followers about my project updates. Plus, there were so many pictures of me. Now, if someone misuses those how can I stop them? I have sent mails to all the respective persons, but till date there’s no feedback. Now tell me what to do? I found my Insta account hacked just after
Sushant Singh Rajput’s death. We were already in shock and this came as a big blow to me. My request to the authorities to please take necessary actions,” revealed malobika during an exclusive chat with ETimes.
The ‘Tope’ actress is based in Mumbai for quite some years but the current scenario amid the
pandemic
and the subsequent crisis left her stranded in Mumbai. “It was a terrible experience. There’s no work, no maid at home. I had to do all the household chores by myself. There were times when I felt hopeless. Then I decided I should return to Kolkata and stay with my parents until the situation normalizes in Mumbai. So, on June 1 I came back to Kolkata as soon as the flight service resumed. Also, Maa was worried about me. She almost every day used to ask me to return to Kolkata,” adds the singer.
So how productive has been these lockdown period? Malobika says she has penned three songs already: “I wrote three songs. What else can I do? I was supposed to record a few songs in Mumbai. Everything was in place. And then this pandemic came and stalled everything. I can’t record from home here, can’t go to Mumbai as well. Let’s hope it all gets over soon and I can return to work.”
There were also, three projects in which she was supposed to play key roles, among them one is opposite Ayushman khurrana. “I was eagerly waiting to start shooting for this project where
Ayushman khurrana
is my co-star. There was another project based on a real-life incident. Now, we all have to wait. These are tasting times and we have to stay positive,” signs off the singer-actress.
