Malobika Banerjee
is keeping busy in what she’s most comfortable with and that’s recording her songs in studios. She has just returned to Mumbai after spending quality time with family in Kolkata and recorded one of her new songs at a popular studio.
“It feels good to be back to what I am comfortable with. I was waiting for it for a long time. The pandemic devastated all the plans I had earlier. Now, it’s time to restart. I have so many projects lined up. Let’s take them one at a time,” Malobika told ETimes during an exclusive chat over the phone.
The Pretty Girl’ has another piece of interesting news to share with her fans and followers. Being a self-proclaimed true fashionista, the Bong beauty has now launched her own clothing line. It’s an e-commercial online clothing destination and Mlobika is highly optimistic about the new journey.

“I know bits and pieces of fashion, so when I decided to start my own business I was convinced that I should start with the one which I am comfortable with. That’s how this new fashion brand came into existence. Many people have lost their jobs during this lockdown. Many designer friends of mine too lost their earnings. So, I thought let’s give these talented persons a chance, a platform to get back to normal,” shared the multitalented singer-actress.
There were also, three projects in which she was supposed to act in key roles, among them one is opposite Ayushman Khurrana. “I was eagerly waiting to start shooting for this project where Ayushman Khurrana is my co-star. There was another project based on a real-life incident. Now, we all have to wait. These are tasting times and we have to stay positive,” added Malobika who acted in many Bengali films including ‘Kokhono Biday Bolo Na’, ‘
Sada Canvas
’, ‘
Kathmundu
’, ‘Chorabali’ and ‘Tope’ before making her names as a singer. Her singles ‘
Kill Karda
’ and ‘
Pagalpan
’ became an instant hit among music lovers.
