Silajit in disbelief after son’s arrest

Musician Silajit is in a complete disbelief that his son, actor Dhee Majumder, was arrested for possessing

cannabis

on Saturday. Reacting to the arrest, Silajit said, “I don’t know much detail. I don’t even believe that this has happened. I really have no clue. But where was he? What was his condition? I know nothing. I think youngsters should be a bit more responsible. They have to be cautious of the company they keep. I have spoken to my lawyer. He is taking care of it right now.”

in 2015, was caught with his two friends Karan Panchal and

Priyam

Panchal while the trio were on their way to Tollygunge. Their car was stopped in front of Tolly Club. According to the cops, they found a large quantity of cannabis from the car. The three friends were arrested after they could not explain the source. They were taken to the Regent Park police station.

Dhee, who is also a musician, has been working in his father’s set up for long. He left for Bangalore for higher studies a few years ago, before settling down in Kolkata. Recently, during a live show with Silajit, Dhee performed with his father in a video call. Silajit, as we know, is a popular Bengali singer-songwriter and actor from Kolkata, best known for his roles in films like Asukh (1999) by Rituparno Ghosh and Krantikaal (2005) by Sekhar Das. He took a remarkable place in Bigg Boss Bangla season 2.
