Serpentine Trio jazzes up starry evening for Kolkata
The Serpentine Trio — featuring jazz and fusion saxophonist Jonathon Kay from Canada, guitarist Bodhisattwa Ghosh and percussionist Soumya Shankar Ray — presented a blend of fusion and jazz at the event titled Stars on the Horizon recently.

The trio played a medley of John Coltrane’s compositions as well as originals. Tap dancer Yorma Loringett from France received a thunderous applause when he did an impromptu jam on one of the original compositions.
Yorma and dance group Rhythmosaic then presented a kathak and tap fusion performance.
