Raja Narayan is excited about his next project

Music director Raja Narayan Deb, who is based in Mumbai for the last two years, is very excited about his upcoming film, Andarkahini. Talking about the film, he said, “It is a compilation of four stories that revolve around four women. Priyanka Sarkar has essayed all the four characters in the film. She depicts different aspects of a woman’s life.”
> The film has only two songs. One of them has been used as the theme song and is rendered by Zinia Roy.“Since there are four different stories, I needed something to connect all of them. The best way to do it was through songs,” the director explained.
While Raja Narayan has composed the songs and the background score of the film, the lyrics have been penned by Srijato. The second song, which is about a person’s journey, has been sung by Paloma Majumder. The video focuses on a female photographer who is travelling a long distance for a work assignment. The song describes her journey. “I must say Paloma has done an excellent job,” Raja Narayan added.
Elaborating on the background score of the film, the director said, “I had to stitch four different stories with the music. The job was challenging enough. For one story, I used piano orchestra. And for the other, I used folk instruments like the dotara. Connecting them was an achievement in itself.”
