Percussionist Pt Prodyut Mukherjee pays tribute to Satyajit Ray on his birth centenary
City-based percussionist Pt Prodyut Mukherjee pays homage to the iconic filmmaker, Satyajit Ray, on his birth centenary by performing the popular Feluda theme in mouth percussions. The theme music was composed by Ray himself for the film Sonar Kella, one of famous Feluda films directed by Ray. Prodyut said, "I have grown up watching Satyajit Ray films, and Sinar Kella is one of my most favourite films.

Ray made the Bengali film industry so proud through his eternal creations and international achievements including the Oscar. Besides that, he was a great musician too. Be it Tagore songs, Indian classical or western classical, all types of music played a key role in his films. His sense in music made his films more lively and realistic. Out of the numerous popular music pieces, I chose the Feluda theme music to pay tribute to the legend on such a special occasion."
