Joy Sarkar who has composed the music of Srijit Mukherji’s much-anticipated ‘

Feluda Pherot

’ feels he’s lucky to work on the music for one of Satyajit Ray’s iconic creations.

“It was a dream come true situation for me. I did not feel pressured when composing the music. Instead, I was very happy that I received the chance to compose the music. Ray’s films are also known for the great music and to get a chance to compose music for Feluda was a huge opportunity for me,” said Joy while speaking to ETimes about the experience of composing music for a Feluda project.

Feluda

Pherot’ is based on Satyajit Ray’s

Chhinnamastar Abhishap

and Jawto Kando Kathmandute, two iconic stories of the iconic sleuth. The first one which has never been cinematically adapted earlier is set in the period in which it was originally created while the second one is a modern-day adaptation.

Tota Roy Choudhury

is the newest entrant in the Bengali detective club as he will be seen Feluda. While Kalpan Mitra will play Topesh,

Anirban Chakraborti

plays another iconic character of Lalmohan Ganguly.

“Yes, there is a little pressure on me as the earlier actors had portrayed this character so well. However, I have decided not to take the extra stress as that would not solve any problem. Hence, I have just followed the advice of the director and portrayed the character,” said Anirban who will face a stiff challenge of impressing the audience with his Lalmohan Babu act.
