Ranajoy Bhattacharjee who had floored everyone with his soul-stirring music in ‘Sweater’ last year is back again. The music of Shieladitya Moulik’s next ‘Hridpindo’ has already created a buzz, especially the two versions of ‘Mon Kyamoner Jonmodin’ have created a ripple on social media. While the female version has been sung by Mekhla Dasgupta, the reprise version is by Ranajoy himself.
“I am so happy to see the response. I couldn’t believe this is happening. My inbox is flooded with congratulatory messages, so many cover versions. It’s like a blessing to me that people have loved the song. I would also thank Shieladitya da for working with me once again after Sweater. We bond through music. We both walk on the same path, we both have the same taste. So, it’s quite easy and comfortable to work with him,” an excited Ranajoy told us during an exclusive chat.
Did ‘Sweater’ change everything? We asked the highly talented musician. “Yes, it has. I have worked in so many projects before Sweater but no one knew about it. I didn’t get the recognition. And then Sweater happened and it changed everything. My works got noticed. Everyone was curious what will be my next project. And when Hridpindo was announced many of my friends, close ones were so excited. I hope I will live up to their expectations,” added Ranajoy.
“Hridpindo has four songs. The two versions of ‘Mon Kyamoner Jonmodin’, ‘Chithi Chithi Din’ by Chandrika Bhattacharya and ‘Hridpinder Tan’ by
Durnibar Saha. The music album is already out on digital platform and I am already getting appreciation from all corners,” said the talented composer.
After ‘Hridpindo’, there are some exciting projects lined up for Ranajoy. “I am also working in ‘Abaar Bochhor Kuri Pore’. As we have plenty of free time now, I am busy in experimenting with its music at home. There’s no rush to go to studios, record songs. So, I am maintaining a distance from social media and concentrating on the music I am working on. Also, I am looking forward to release a single. That’s also on my list,” signed off Ranajoy.
