While elaborating on her experience, Avantika said, “Kalki and I met years ago during a play, Colour Blind, by Manav Kaul. We have been friends since then. During her third trimester of pregnancy, she asked me to teach her a Bengali lullaby. Ghum Parani Mashi Pishi is my favourite and I taught her that. She was quick to learn. She used to play the ukulele before to calm her dog down during Diwali firecrackers. She is playing to Sappho and as it seems the little one will grow up with musical parents.”

The musician that she is, Avantika also plays the ukulele with her songs, “I started playing the ukulele some years back. Chitrangada (Satarupa, actress) motivated me to learn and my husband taught me. During the pandemic and lockdown, music helps many people to calm down and be positive.”
