Nikhita Gandhi is super happy with the response her latest song 'Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0' with Harrdy Sandhu has been receiving since its release. In fact, the party anthem, from Vicky Kaushal and Kiara Advani starrer 'Govinda Naam Mera', is already topping the music charts ahead of the Christmas weekend.
Nikhita who was recently in Kolkata feels this peppy song is her Christmas gift, “I am so happy that many people have showered love on the song. It’s like the perfect peppy Christmas party song filled with loads of energy. I was amazing working with Harrdy Sandhu. Vicky and Kiara also did a fabulous job with their dancing steps and we had a long chat about how this song energized everyone on the sets. Last year I had a super hit ‘Jugnu’ with Badshah and this year it’s 'Kyaa Baat Haii 2.0' with Harrdy. I strongly believe it’s the people’s love that made these songs superhit and I just want to continue my good work. People have a lot of expectations now and I hope I can live up to the expectations.”
In the new song, Kiara and Vicky can be seen dancing in quirky outfits that aptly syncs the mood of the song. While the lyrics are by Jaani, composition by B Praak, the song has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi with the super cool vocals of Harrdy Sandhu and Nikhita Gandhi.
Speaking about the Christmas atmosphere in Kolkata, especially the winter vibes, the ace singer says the feelings can’t be expressed in words. “My roots are in Kolkata. So, yes I feel nostalgic and there are so many memories associated with the city of joy. Kolkata winter is always special, particularly the vibes, warmth and the weather. Sadly I can’t celebrate this Christmas here because of work commitments. My busy schedule always keeps me on the foot. Still, I manage to get some time out to visit Kolkata. This year also I managed some time to enjoy the Kolkata winter, at least for a few days before I leave for a show.”
Sharing her Christmas plans Nikhita reveals it will be a grand one in Dubai, “I have a fantastic show in Dubai and am so excited about it. It will be work and fun. So my Christmas celebration this year will be in Dubai.”
