Lopamudra-Joy complete 20 years of marriage, celebrate the occasion in Purulia

Singer Lopamudra Mitra and composer Joy Sarkar have completed 20 years of their marriage and spent the special day in Purulia. Lopamudra uploaded a photograph of them on social media with a funny Bengali caption, “Bish paner bish bochor”, which means 20 years of consuming poison and wished hubby Joy. “It is still surprising to me how we spent this much time together,” she said.
Lopamudra said on the occasion, she wanted to go to some hill station, but Joy thought travelling that much would not be safe. “So, he brought me here instead. I am not complaining; this place is equally beautiful, but you will not film snowy mountain peaks in Purulia,” she added. When asked what she has gifted Joy, the singer humorously said she only likes to take and not give.
Meanwhile, talking about the live shows scene in Bengal, Lopamiudra said despite there being higher demand, the remuneration offered is merely half of their usual pay. “This is the reason that we are not doing many shows nowadays. But I am sure the situation will get better soon,” she said.
