Lopamudra appalled by Delhi’s poor air quality

is presently at Delhi and said that she had no idea that a city can be this polluted. The singer said that even though we talk about the high pollution in Kolkata, we can never imagine the scene in Delhi. This is the first time she has visited Delhi after Diwali.

Lopamudra said she reached Delhi on Sunday morning to sing in a show in the evening. “Right after I landed in Delhi, I could see and feel the pollution. My nostrils and throat started burning after a few hours. There is no sign of the sun and there is very poor visibility,” she added. She thought the indoors would be better, but once she reached her hotel, she could see how wrong she was. “There is always a burning smell in the air. I don’t know how people can take this,” she said, adding that a number of people advised her to buy a mask. But she thought it wasn’t a good idea as she would perform at an open-air venue.

of my throat. Even though I cannot do it all the time and end up catching throat infections, I always try,” she added. Talking about the precautions she takes, she said that along with gargling and taking vapour, she also takes some medications.
