#LockdownCreativity: Now, a music video on hope featuring Kitu Gidwani, Jojo Mukherjee and many others
The fear that Covid-19 has caused among people can only be countered by an immense and immediate sense of hope. It’s the feeling of optimism that will see people sail through. Keeping this need in view, a music video called Phir Hath Milayenge, by a newly-formed Hindi progressive rock band, Ameen, has tried to initiate a lot of goodwill with their work.
"I was happy that this young group thought about me and got in touch to create this video. They sent me the male track and asked me to sing the female version. I liked it. It was peppy and the lyrics have a lot of meaning. I am sure youngsters will relate to it. Besides, it's for a cause. We all recorded from our homes. I got stuck away from my home due to the lockdown. So, there was no set up. I used the phone microphone, recorder and laptop. It turned out fine," said singer Jojo Mukherjee.
Besides Jojo, this song is sung by Vidyadhar Bhave, Meheka Mukherjee, Dipannita Sharma and Veenah Naair. It has a beautiful doha sung by Rajasthani folk singer Sawai Khan Janra and harmonies performed by Sankalitaa Roy.
"The band was launched with this song itself during the lockdown. I am not a member of the band but it was great collaborating with them. Moreover, there's a social angle to it. An NGO is also raising funds for Covid-19. So, I wanted to be a part of it," said Sankalitaa, who has also acted in the video.
The video is directed by Suman Adhikary, who has also penned and composed the song.

"My earlier bandmates and I had decided to start making music during the lockdown. This video is a result of it. We thought about the current disastrous situation and the subsequent need to keep hope alive and based our theme on that," said director Suman Adhikary.
The song is a salute to the medical personnel, policemen and COVID-19 fighters across the globe. The music is arranged by Arindam Sarkar from the band and
