Durga Puja is synonymous with cultural exuberance, and for the band Lakkhichhara, it’s not just about the numerous performances but the pride of being part of cultural zenith; and the sheer joy of embracing Bengal’s cultural renaissance," said Debaditya Chaudhury, keyboardist of the band.
The band has never missed performing during Pujo, captivating crowds year after year. He further added, “From our early days, when Lakkhichhara’s music stirred young hearts, to now in our 40s, the fan base continues to grow, spanning borders and continents. Last year we took our sound global with an exhilarating 21-day tour across the US, performing at community Pujos in places such as Washington, Boston, Los Angeles, Texas, Newark, and Portland. This year, we are thrilled to have back-to-back shows, kicking off in Kolkata on Sashti at one of the most prestigious Durga pujas at Northern Park near Bhowanipore, followed by two performances in Mumbai on Saptami and Ashtami, and culminating in Delhi on Nabami. Our setlist would features timeless classics of ours alongside iconic tracks from Mohiner Ghoraguli and traditional Bengali folk songs. We will also celebrate the legendary Gautam Chattopadhyay with his unforgettable numbers at our concerts.”
