The Kolkata entertainment scenario recently witnessed a new form of stage performance — one that brought together music, art and poetry on the dais.
A tribute to German author-poet Hans Magnus Enzensberger, this concert-style performance, titled A History of Clouds, saw Varun Kishore and Nishad Pandey on guitars, Alex Malseed on bass, Davide Marini on drums and actor and theatre artiste Tanaji Dasgupta reading out extracts from the poems.

Said Varun, “Since this was a unique concept, the audience took time to get into the flow. Once that was done, it went off pretty well. The best part is that we enjoyed ourselves. We had people coming up backstage to meet and congratulate us.”
“The response was really encouraging. We wish we could do some more shows in Kolkata,” added Tanaji.
Among the audience, we spotted director Suman Mukhopadhyay and singercomposer Neel Adhikari, who seemed engrossed in the performance all through.
