Kolkata artists pay tribute to KK through live art and music

It’s been almost two weeks since iconic singer KK passed away. His sudden demise hours after a Kolkata concert had left the entire nation in shock and fans still mourn the humble singer’s death. Recently, a group of Kolkata artists joined hands to pay a small tribute to the Bollywood singer through their artwork which was a part of a special art workshop during the ‘Summer Art Festival’ organised by Retro Kolkata at a city Gallery.

As many as 45 artists through their live art remembered KK in the way they have portrayed him through music. Singer Anny Ahmed who sang in the ‘Characterless’ web series joined the initiative and sang quite a few melodious songs to give a wonderful tribute to the late singer through mash-up of his hit songs. Songs like "Yeh pal", " Yaaron dosti" , "Beetein lamhein” left everyone present at the event emotionally drenched.
The Summer Art Festival, a three-day event, featured hand-painting, sculpture and art forms created by various artists. Politician Soumya Bokshi, actor Anshu Bach, actress Nandini Chatterjee, Soma Banerjee, Sandeep Dey, musician Mallar Ghosh, bachik artist Fullora Mukherjee and others were present at the inaugural ceremony on the first day of the festival.
