Jayati Chakraborty and Mir part of an album based on Tagore songs and poems
Singer Jayati Chakraborty, Mir Afsar Ali, Ashu Chakraborty and Rajib Chakraborty recently launched an album, Awshomapto, at a city mall. The album features Tagore songs and narrations of poems. The album is in the form of a monologue of a poet recollecting his memories of his different endeavour which is bound by love. His memoirs of six different phases of his life which he had gone through in a single lifetime are presented through the album.

The six expressive Tagore songs in the project are Bhalobashi bhalobashi(koishorer bhalobasha), Dibosho rojoni ami jeno kar ashae ashae thaki, E parobashe – biroho (the distance in a relationship), Dekho sokha bhul kore bhalobeshona – (the labour of love), Chaya ghonayeche bonay bonay(death separates) and Megh boleche jabo. The story teller in the album is Mir. The songs are sung by Jayati, concept and music dirextion of the album is by Ashu and the script is written by Rajib.
