Indie band Ganesh Talkies shoots new video

After the success of their last video, Item song, indie band Ganesh Talkies recently shot their second music video Dancing dancing. The song is part of their new EP, which is yet to be named.
The song has been produced by Miti Adhikari and directed by young painter Ayushman Mitra, who has also done the graffiti on the walls of the sets. The cast comprises 25 young boys and the girls of the city, including members of the host band — Suyasha Sengupta, Roheet Mukherjee, Ronodeep Bose, Sambit Chatterjee and Diptak Nandi.Actor Neha Panda is also a part of the cast as is Mekhola Bose, who has also choreographed the song.
Suyasha, the vocalist of the band, said, “The vibe of the song is very happy. The video is our effort to showcase young indie movement happening in the city. It is a self-funded project. The idea is not to make profit, but to take our music out to people. It is our best way to get new audience. We will put it up on YouTube too.”
The video will be released sometime in December. “The video is around a middle-aged homemaker hallucinating about her house being filled with young people who want to have a good time. We had a helluva time shooting for the video. Instead of focusing on just song, we wanted to combine music with art and fashion to create something new. So we had artwork on the walls, and also on people’s bodies,” Suyasha added.
