. “When I reached her house, she already had a few visitors and didi was humming a tune. She asked me to join in and together we sang bits and pieces of Kalabati raag,” said Arati, adding, “There was a lot to catch up on. Though we usually keep in touch over phone and I get reprimanded by her every now and then for various reasons, we barely get time to meet. So I thought of dropping in at her place. She is like a mother figure to us.” The octogenarian

was evidently touched by this sudden visit, said a source. “Aratidi brought some sweets and a beautiful bunch of roses for Sandhyadi. They spent a couple of hours together. It was indeed very rejuvenating for Sandhyadi, who treats Aratidi as her younger sister,” said the source.
