‘Subh Sukh Chain’ is touted to be the National Anthem of Netaji’s Indian National Army (INA) and was inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s ‘Jana Gana Mana’ (Indian National Anthem).

After Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose shifted his base to South-East Asia in 1943, he along with two of his generals Mumtaz Hussain and Colonel Abid Hasan Safrani translated the lyrics and composed this song ‘Subh Sukh Chain’.

Captain Ram Singh Thakuri composed the music for original ‘Subh Sukh Chain’ in such a way that it evokes patriotism and love for the motherland. Thus a song was created which became the National Anthem for the Provisional Government of Free India.
