On the death anniversary of
Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore
talented singer
Durnibar Saha comes up with a retro meets lounge and a tinge of melodic throwback reinterpretation of ‘
Tumi Robe Nirobe
’, a timeless Tagore classic.
Recorded in a very nonchalant workflow the song itself inspired both the music designer and singer to deliver something similar yet different. Since its release, the song has been a hit among music lovers.
According to
Prajna Dutta
who designed the music for this melodious track, presented by Rooh Music, it was an amazing experience: “Working on the timeless classic with Durnibar was a superb feeling. He is a bit nervous as it is a reinterpretation of a Tagore song but is hoping that the audience will have as much of a good time listening to it as they had in making it.”

The song is a fitting tribute to Tagore on this special occasion and Durnibar’s soulful rendition shows us yet again why
Rabindra Sangeet
has been the lifeline for Bengali music.
