“It has been two years that I am living in Mumbai and like every musician, I have seen struggles. I am glad that my work is getting appreciated,” said Diptarko, who is currently assisting Amartya Bobo Rahut. “Boboda has composed music for Tu Hai Mera Sunday recently. He is also working on a film, Drive, which is directed by Tarun Mansukhani. I am assisting him on this projects and it is quite interesting to work with him. Boboda is a great mentor and he has been a great inspiration for me in the city of Mumbai In fact, Amit Trivedi too used to assist Boboda at one point of time,” the musician said with a smile.

Meanwhile, his latest project, Badami Coffin, garnered much appreciation. Written by Ritam Sen and composed by Diptarka, the song is rendered by the composer and Lagnajita, who, in his absence, received the award on his behalf. The song was released on the YouTube channel Aprokashito. “I really wanted to come but could not make it. But I am very happy that Lagnajita went and received my award. She deserves the award as much as I do. It is because of her unique tonality that the song got its magic touch. I am overwhelmed with the recognition this song has been receiving.”
