Debojyoti Mishra celebrates his musical journey

It was nothing short of a star-studded evening as eminent musician Debojyoti Mishra celebrated his more than four decade-long musical journey. The evening was graced by the presence of noted filmmakers, including Anik Dutta, Atanu Ghosh and Kamaleshwar Mukherjee. Besides, Debojyoti's wife social activist

Jonaki Mukherjee

and others were also present.


The evening also saw a grand musical performance by

Debojyoti

and his team. He played a collage of river songs on the violin. Amar Sen created magic on his sand art. Besides,

Sourima Ghosh

and

Ujjaini Mukhopadhyay

performed at the do.

Vachegan Tadhevosian

played the Duduk. Abhijit Basu performed a medley of folk songs.


Recollecting his musical journey, Debojyoti said, “Salil Chowdhury played an important part in defining my career. I also grew up in a musically enriched environment. In fact, the rebellious songs during the Bangladesh Liberation War also created a deep impact.”
