‘Chal Saathiyaan’ from Raajhorshee De’s ‘A Separate Sky’ winning hearts

‘Chal Saathiyaan’, the melodious song from Raajhorshee De’s upcoming film ‘A Separate Sky’ has struck the right chord among music lovers.
It’s already enjoying quite handsome YouTube views since its release and continues to win hearts. The beautiful song has been composed by Ashu Chakraborty and sung by none other than Anupam Roy. The lyrics are by director Raajhorshee himself.The video song grabs attention from the beginning using a quote by Vladimir Lenin that says, “The best way to control the opposition is to lead it ourselves”. It showcases a montage of clips involving violence and student unrest in the country. These scenes of unrest and chaos can give you an idea of what the film is about.

‘A Separate Sky’ is deeply inspired by Aamir Aziz’s poetry Sab Yaad Rakha Jayega and touches down the subject of Citizenship Amendment Act and its aftereffects. It stars Richa Sharma, Bonny Sengupta, Sudiptaa Chakraborty, Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Priyanka Rati Pal, Kan Singh Sodha and Ranieeta Dash in the lead.
