recently recorded the title track of an upcoming Bengali horror film. Interestingly, the track is an experimental
gothic rock
.
“It was great recording something like this. It’s a new one in Bengali music and I loved working with Prajna. I am eagerly waiting for the final output. Let’s see after mixing what comes out. I have told Prajna if this song comes out good it will surely be a new trend in Bengali music. I got to design a lot of vocal tracks, the harmony and Prajna had given me the space to work on it,” Bonnie told ETimes during an exclusive chat.
Meanwhile, Prajna, the music director, says: “It was a wonderful experience working with Bonnie da on this particular project. My connection with Bonnie da goes way back, during my college days I had been part of a reality show and Bonnie Da was the host of that show and I was the frontman of a participating band. The title track of the film has rock, blues and metal influences and has been arranged by Mrinmoy da.”
The film ‘Sarvabhuteshu’ has been directed by Sarmistha Deb starring
Sreelekha Mitra,
Rajatava Dutta, Debdut Ghosh, Rajdeep Sarkar and others. While the title track has been sung by Bonnie, music has been composed by Prajna Dutta while the lyrics are by Supriyo Paul. There are three more tracks, one sung by
Rupankar Bagchi, one by
Durnibar Saha and one by the Prajna himself.
