Having wrapped up the shoot of his directorial launchpad — Chrysanthemum — Drono Acharya has now shifted focus to the soundtrack. The musician-director, who is composing the tunes himself, roped in popular Bangladeshi artiste Kona to sing a soft rock number. This film will mark Kona's Tollywood debut.
Heaping praises on the singer, Drono says, “I was looking for a fresh voice.

But the singer had to be experienced. On looking up the net, I came across Kona's profile and found out how popular she is in Bangladesh. Once I got in touch with her, she was happy to give her nod. Kona is a superstar, who has to her credit umpteen hits. Working with her was a great experience." About choosing the Bangladeshi singer over our homegrown talents, the composer adds, “We have heard our singers over and over again. And there are more Bangalis living in Bangladesh today than in Bengal. So, I wanted to zero in on the best possible voice."
While Kona has sung the number, Purono diner purono asha, the soundtrack boasts of two other songs. “I have rearranged the Rabindrasangeet, Bhalobashi bhalobashi, which has been sung by Sraboni Sen. That apart, Jojo and Timir Biswas have rendered the title track, Chander gaye chand legechhe," says Drono.
Kona's song features Sagnik and Dipamitra in a dream sequence.
